DeAnna Anderson created the Glenwood Dance Academy and Pilates Studio to train dancers and also to offer the Pilates experience to dancers as well as to the general public.
DeAnna began her career as a dancer with the San Francisco Ballet and later with the American Ballet Theatre in New York. She studied under George Balanchine, Anthony Tudor and Martha Graham. She was an understudy in the original production of "Cats" and later toured with the group.
After her dancing career, she received a BA of Fine Arts at UC Irvine in California, a degree in health and PE at Edinboro College in Pennsylvania. She taught dance at Mercy Hurst College and designed a dance-Pilates program for Mill Creek High School in Erie Pennsylvania.
DeAnna is also the artistic director of the Danse Arts Theatre Company. |
