We are pleased to announce that all 5 of our dancers who auditioned for the Colorado Ballet summer intensive classes have been accepted. The 5 are Brianne Jones, Courtney Olson, Addie Tapp, Nicole Zinn and Hannah Zon. Congratulations to these talented and dedicated dancers. To have all 5 selected for a total of 60 openings is a testament to our incredible teachers and to our overall program.

A two-week ballet intensive will be taught by master guest teachers David Taylor amd Nathalie LeVine at the Glenwood Dance Academy August 11 -23, 2008.
Mr. Taylor will teach ballet for intermediate and advance level dancers, a pas de deux class and a dance history class. Mr. Taylor has been involved in the Denver dance community for 37 years. He brings a wealth of experience not only as a dancer but as a dance teacher and choreographer. He has created over 100 original works and is the founder of the David Taylor Dance Theatre. He is an Adjunct Faculty member with the Dance Department at Colorado State University where he teaches dance history.
Ms. LeVine will grace our studio once again with her extensive knowledge and expertise. LeVine, who trained under Slavenska, Nijinska and the Royal Ballet School, has taught and choreographed ballet for 50 years, mainly in California and in the St. Louis area. LeVine’s students have gone on to dance with the American Ballet Theater, the National Ballet of Canada, the Kansas City Ballet, the Geneva Ballet, the Memphis Ballet and many other well-established companies. LeVine will teach intermediate and advanced level ballet classes, as well as pointe classes.
We have some exciting new classes for adults, teens and for boys in our fall session. Teen ballet on Thursday; teen hip-hop on Wed; an adult jazz exercise class on Monday; adult ballet and tap on Tuesday; adult hip-hop on Thursday; and something special, a boys stomp class on Thursday. The class will include a wide variety of character instruction as well as some dance. Introducing Anusara Yoga on Wed. morning at 9 AM taught bySujata Stephens.
Adult & Kids Martial Arts classes are available on Thursday at 6 PM; 7PM and on Saturdays at 8:30 AM. The traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate is taught by second degree black belt David Light. Call 319-8423 or 947-9560 for more info.
